In 1988, Mary Kawar received her Bachelor\u2019s degree in Anthropology and Economics from Tufts University in the United States of America, then she obtained a Master\u2019s degree in \u201cSocial Policy and Planning for Developing Countries\u201d from the United Kingdom in 1989, and she received a Ph.D. in \u201cDevelopment Studies\u201d from the College of London Economics 1997.<\/p>\n<h3>Her positions and career<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Researcher at the Jordanian Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, during the period (1989-1991).<\/li>\n<li>Adviser to the Jordanian Minister of Labor, during the period (2006-2007).<\/li>\n<li>Director of the International Labor Organization in East Africa, and official and consultant at the organization\u2019s headquarters in Geneva and the regional office in Beirut, during Period (1997-2017).<\/li>\n<li>The Jordanian Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, during the period (14 June 2018 \u2013 7 November 2019), in the government of Omar Al-Razzaz.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mary Kamel Amin Kawar was born in Amman, Jordan.
