Fahad Al Fanek

(1934-19 March 2018) is a former chairman of the Jordanian newspaper, Al-Rai.
Al-Funk was born in Amman in 1934 to a Christian family whose origins are from the town of Al-Hosn. He studied first and second grades at Al-Fateh School, which was in the camp. His family then moved to his original town, Al-Hosn. He stayed there for the period of primary and secondary school.

He joined the Ba’ath Party at the age of 17 in 1951, and continued with the Ba’ath Party for 16 years, reaching membership in the regional leadership.
